About Media Talk
Welcome to Media Talk with Meagan and Tara. Here you will find two distinct perspectives to the story of social media at our ad agency. One from a young professional immersed in social media as a way of life. The other of a person with an 18 year career who has begun to adopt social media into professional and personal pursuits. We offer ideas and opinions from two distinct generations. Meagan is a member of Generation Y. Her generation grew up with computers, the Internet, and has been in the middle of social media as it has evolved. By industry terms, she is considered a digital native. Tara represents Generation X, and would be considered a digital immigrant. For most of this generation their first experience with a personal computer probably came at a job after finishing college. Between the two of them they encompass the generations of the 20-, 30- and 40- somethings.
While they come from different perspectives, both believe that learning is a constant when it comes to social media. Daily they dish out questions to each other about their online experiences and enjoy the answers and dialogue that result. The Media Talk portion of the Pannos Winzeler blog will now bring these daily talks to the web.
Media Talk will encourage conversations on the different facets of new media and social networking. There are no stupid questions in a world of emerging media, as we’re all learning together on a daily basis. We hope you’ll come talk with us as we make our way through this social world.
